Waka (396) – Fujiwara No Teika
(藤原定家, Đằng Nguyên Định Gia)
Chỉ quá khứ mà thôi
bây giờ không còn thấy
người tìm đến thăm tôi
những dấu hài thuở ấy
cũng mờ phai cả rồi.
わくらばにとはれし人もむかしにてそれより庭のあとはたえにき
wakuraba ni
towareshi hito mo
mukashi nite
sore yori niwa no
ato wa taeniki
But rarely
Did he visit-now
‘Tis all in the past, and
Since then in the garden
Every single trace has gone.
